To provide this service to promote and enable investment in Bristol, and to facilitate effective responses to investment enquiries and members of the public enquiring about investment opportunities and related matters, we need to collect and use some or all of the personal information below:

  • Identifiable for all individuals
  • Name
  • Email address
  • Address and Location
  • Company and profession

We use this information for one or more of the following reasons:

  • We will use this information for the purposes of communicating with businesses in order to assist in their requirements, for example signposting to relevant council information on planning, capital projects and programmes and infrastructure development; property available in the city; services that the council provides to support businesses; and encouraging appropriate networking opportunities. 
  • We share data with the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) to ensure that their efforts to attract investment to Bristol and the West of England is co-ordinated effectively across the region.

Who else might we share your personal information with?

  • Non-special category data (i.e. name, email address) will be shared with the WECA and Invest Bristol and Bath; the team at WECA responsible for inward investment.

Our legal basis for using your personal information is that Under the Local Government Act 2000, as a local authority we have the power to use this data in relation to the promotion or improvement of the economic well-being of this area.
