She is the founder of Black Girl Convention supporting large events for womxn* and girls of African and Caribbean heritage and the co director of Bristol African Caribbean Culture Space – a new black arts venue barge to be located in Bristol Harbour.
She is also a global speaker and an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion consultant championing values led equitable practice across the creative sector. In 2017 she became a TEDxBristol speaker with the thought provoking No. You Cannot Touch My Hair campaign and talk of the same name.
She is the International ambassador for the city of Bristol, holds an honorary doctorate for work in equalities from University West of England and in 2019 she was Bristol247’s woman of the year!
